You are definitely in for a treat if you stop by Maureen’s Kitchen in Smithtown. The country-cozy eatery serves up breakfast and lunch in a very special way. This family owned restaurant is always packed, and there’s always a line waiting to get seated, which is a testament to their great menu and fast and friendly service. No worries, because your wait time to be seated is never longer than 10 to 15 minutes, and they encourage you to unplug and connect with each other.
It’s a great place to meet other happy people. We even ran into our good friend, Darren Sardelli, signing books and entertaining incoming customers with his equally delectable, laugh-a lot poetry!
Maureen’s Kitchen always serves up interesting and delicious specials. I chose their French toast, stuffed croissant with blueberries, mangos, and cream cheese. I heard from the grapevine, that one of their specialties is their pistachio pancakes!
Maureen’s Kitchen is a great place for the whole family. Pull up a chair in the cow-adorned dining room, or enjoy your meal out on their enclosed porch that wraps around the whole house. We love Maureen’s Kitchen and we’re happy to call them one of our Bright Picks this Summer!
