My daughter had a goal and NEVER gave up and she accomplished her goal.

Being a parent is awesome for so many reasons but, it is kind of cool if you think about it that we get to see what it is like to be a child again through our kids. As time goes on we forget things and having kids is a reminder of the things that were HUGE to you back then and that we take for granted now. For instance, tying our shoes.

Ask any adult to go tie their shoes and within seconds they can do it. Ask a child and it may be a struggle and something they have to work towards. What may seem simple or easy is not so easy at certain stages of your life. I appreciate this for so many reasons. I have realized that my husband and I need to step back and enjoy these moments and make a huge deal out of these moments for our kids so that their confidence continues to boost (because they are so smart and they are capable of reaching any goal big or small). This mom loves to capture the moments on camera every chance I get. Some find the amount of pictures I take to be a bit much but, I will never stop because I treasure them so much.

Our kids watch You-Tube videos all the time to watch other kids and people do things all the time. So, of course we looked up a video and tried following along. However, it was taking a deep breath and working along-side her daddy that accomplished this goal.

After tying her shoes successfully a few times she had to call her grandparents (Ma & Pa Pa) and one of the first things she said was, “I tie my shoes the way Daddy does.” How awesome for both my husband and my daughter to have this as a goal they worked toward together.

There was one more thing Mia wanted to do and that was make a video so that other kids can continue to work on their goals and NEVER GIVE UP! Hope you enjoy this video as much as we do:
