The Whaling Museum of Cold Spring Harbor may be small but, it provides the community with so much history, interactive fun and plenty of programs and events for kids and adults of all ages. We love visiting and we know you will, too.

When you enter you will be greeted by a friendly staff member who will be delighted to answer any questions you may have. When we went we were given a fun scavenger hunt that kids and adults can work on together. It is a lot of fun and adds to the experience. It took us a little while to complete the page but, if you get stuck you can always ask for a helpful hint at the front desk.

As well as, the opportunity to learn what the whalers did when they were on their whaling boats.
My girls loved all the Scrimshaw pieces. They were even able to design their own and display it on the wall in the Whaling Museum with others who did the same.
You will learn a lot of great facts about the whales, whalers and Long Island during your visit.
