About a year ago, Momee Friends set out to cast a wider net and to reach out to meet the needs of the diverse communities that make up Long Island. In an effort to connect families with various resources, we have met some of the most amazing people which led us to creating a forum that spotlights BRIGHT PICKS within our community – businesses and organizations that take that extra step to accommodate the needs of everyone and promote inclusion. We also met inspiring children who are doing their small part to give back to the community, but are making a huge impact on the lives of others, like 9 year old, Kate Clyne of Bethpage. Not only does Kate advocate for her little brother who has autism, but she advocates and publicly speaks in schools and at community gatherings to raise awareness.
