California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) is hosting a fundraiser at all New York and New Jersey locations on Friday, May 13 to benefit Sunrise Day Camp, a free camp for kids with cancer and their families. CPK will donate 20% of participating sales. To participate, diners can visit CPK during regular store hours and present the flyer below or mention the fundraiser. Dine-in, takeout, catering, online and curbside orders will qualify toward the fundraiser.
This fundraiser was initiated by Ethan Zemel, a local 13-year old boy that lives with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Ethan, who will be attending Sunrise Day Camp this summer, wants to raise money for the organization so that other kids with similar illnesses can enjoy the camp as well.

Founded in 2006, Sunrise Day Camps are the world’s only free, dedicated day camps for children with cancer ages 3 ½ – 16 and their siblings. Sunrise is a day camp, so it brings the simple pleasures of childhood to the kids while allowing the children to continue medical treatment and enjoy the comfort and safety of their own homes at night. Sunrise Day Camps are located on Long Island and Staten Island as well as in Pearl River, New York, Baltimore and Israel, and are affiliated with 21 renowned hospitals and medical centers.
