DIY Holiday Mint Decorations

This is an easy decoration to make for your yard during the holidays.

Making these yummy candies will bring a smile to your face like it did mine.

For this craft you need:

10 inch Styrofoam circle

Red Tissue Paper

Clear Cellophane Paper

White Acrylic Paint

Scotch Tape

Green Ribbon

Paintbrush

Long and Thin Dowel Stick (bought at craft store)

Directions:

First, wrap the Styrofoam Circle with the red tissue paper.

Front                                                                       Back

Next, using your acrylic paint. Paint the long dowel white and let dry.

Also pain the front of the “mint” with white acrylic paint in design shown below.

Once dry, wrap the “mint” in cellophane paper. Make sure there is excess cellophane on each side we are going to use it. Scotch tape the excess on the side of the mint as shown below in the picture.

Then, tie the side with a green ribbon.

Stick the dowel into the bottom of the mint.

Your mint is complete!

My daughters loved these. Mia was dancing around the house with these. They would make an adorable prop in a dance production for the holidays too.

I made two of them and Mia could not wait to put them put outside for everyone to see.
