News 12 Long Island has a new fun series this month: March into Spring.
Fellow Momee Crafter, Elizabeth Hashagen and I show you in three different segments fun kids crafts with a spring theme.
Elizabeth and I wore Binoculars made out of toilet paper rolls.
See how to make the binoculars—-> click here
We made the Cheerio Bird Feeders:
On Display was:
Birdhouses out of 1 liter soda bottle, a milk carton bird feeder and a
terra-cotta pot bird bath.
And the Peep Bird Houses are so much fun to make:
While taping we were looking for Birds and instead of finding birds we found meteorologist… Rich Hoffman! Who is ready to forecast warm weather and lots of sunshine for Spring!
Elizabeth and I wore sun visors you can buy at the craft store for a $1.00 and make pretty using fabric paint and stickers.
We made grass friends on air so simple to make and as their hair gets long your children can give them hair cuts.
On Display was:
Coffee Can Dragonfly
Buggy Flower Pots
Milk Jug Watering Can
Garden Fence Craft
Soda Bottle Planter
and a Seed Greenhouse
Elizabeth and I wore Bunny Hats made from a $1.00 Painters hat (bought at a craft store) and white and pink foam sheets.
And we also held up a bunny nose craft made out of a craft stick, pipe cleaners, and a pom pom.
We made a cotton ball bunny craft
little footprint bunny
Bunny Bean Bags
Bunny Paper Plate Craft
and we talked about the sensory bins
Sensory play is an open-invitation for hands-on exploration and creativity. These Spring and Easter Sensory Bins are not only cute but inexpensive and keep your children engaged for hours at a time.
