Birdseed eggs to hang or gift Mix as listed 8 1/3 to 1/2 cups bird seed 1/3 cup gelatin 1 1/2 cups water 36-38 fillable plastic Easter eggs. Lightly coat the molds with the vegetable spray. Pack the eggs using a teaspoon, snap them together and place into an egg carton for chilling. Chill the eggs for a couple of hours and remove carefully. Be sure to dry the bird seed eggs in a paper egg carton as styrofoam tends to encourage mold. makes about 3 dozen eggs.
