The Holiday Inn Westbury hosted an amazing fundraiser last night (Wednesday- September 16th from 6pm to 10pm) with a Luau theme. The Fundraiser benefited Angela’s House an organization that provides services and support to children and families on Long Island that are in need of special home care to support medically fragile children living at home.
Currently, Angela’s House is providing assistance to over 600 children throughout the community. The goal of the evening was to raise $10,000 by the end of the night and General Manager Franklin Manchester has announced that they raised over that goal. The event was fantastic and we were happy we got to attend such a wonderful fundraiser for such a great cause.
There was a DJ and Steel Drum from After Hours Entertainment. And a Luau would not be complete without Hawaiian Dancers and Flame Throwers. The ladies were so great and put on a great show poolside for all to enjoy. The food was delicious and had a Hawaiian theme to it along with their tropical style drinks for everyone to enjoy.
It is so not like me to not take any pictures. We were having such an amazing time I never snapped a picture but, thanks to social media I was able to get a hold of some pictures to share.
Thank you Holiday Inn Westbury for a great evening!

The night was all about Angela’s House and raising awareness for a beautiful organization started by Bob and Angie Policastro in 1992. “Angela’s House has worked very hard to create new programs and opportunities for medically frail children. The doors of our first home Angela’s House located in East Moriches opened in the fall of 2000 in a culmination of a ten-year effort by Bob Policastro. This special home for children is the first of its kind. Named after his daughter, this beautiful home offers a loving environment with 24-hour nursing care.” Read more… click here
