We are so happy to announce our Shining Child of the Month for January 2016, Raymond Mohler Jr. He started his foundation called, The Little St. Nick Foundation over a decade ago and he has made such a positive impact on the community.

Raymond is a wonderful example of Kids helping Kids and the amazing impact that a child’s efforts can have not just on the individual receiving the help but the positive impact it has on the entire community.

Raymond “experienced his own medical challenges by being diagnosed with a rare hip disease at the age of four. Having only to wear a brace on both legs for two years, little Raymond felt that he was blessed and decided to give back to the sick kids left behind at the hospital that were not as fortunate to be coming home. Little Ray decided to donate ½ of his unwrapped holiday toys to the kids he left behind. The rest is history.”

 “We grant wishes, not just to terminally ill children, but any child that needs to take their mind off the pain that they are in.”

Every month our Shining Child is nominated by a family member, friend or someone else in the community who has recognized the efforts made by the child. Raymond was recognized by his cousin, Ganimet.
