Noodles and Company recently opened their doors in Patchogue, NY. I have never been to a Noodles and Company before last night, and I have to say the overall family dining experience is one I would highly recommend to my fellow parents/ caregivers.
Let’s face it, when you are headed out to eat with the entire family the kids are the ones who are the deciding factor of where you end up. Does the menu appeal to my child (picky eater friendly menu) ? Is their something to keep them busy while you wait for the food? Is the atmosphere family friendly? And of course are there healthy options for my child to eat?
Noodles & Company of Patchogue exceeded my expectations last night. As soon as we sat down the kids were happy because they had a drink right away and a great family atmosphere to dine in. We were given huge kid place mats to color on. (An activity like a colorful place mat is always a bonus)
We ordered from their healthy kids meal menu that had great options, even for a picky eater (like my 4-year-old).
My 18 month old had grilled chicken as her main dish and her two sides were broccoli and the seasonal fruit (which happened to be strawberries). She did not even use a fork she dug right in with her fingers. And loved everything in her meal.
Kids Grilled Chicken– Tender grilled chicken breast sliced and served with barbeque sauce
My four-year old was so happy with her buttered noodle pasta (with extra parmesan cheese) and double portion of fruit.
TheKids Buttered Noodlesare Tender, wavy egg noodles, butter, Italian seasonings and parmesan.
One thing that the kids can get with their meal is the chopstick and the chopstick buddy that helps them use the chopsticks. Mia loved trying to use them to pick up her food. It was a fun activity that I think encouraged her to eat more of her meal then she usually does, and that made Mommy and Daddy very happy.
The Noodles and Company did a great job with the kids menu making sure their was a good amount of nutritional value in their kids meals. The nutritional values are available in the store or by clicking here.
The portions were a great size and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our selections and cannot wait to try more in the near future. There is a lot of great options on the menu from their delicious noodle options, to salads, soups and sandwiches.
We enjoyed their appetizers of Potstickers and the Margherita Flatbread.
Our entrees were the Penne Rosa
and the Pad Thai.
The dessert was really good. We tried the Chocolate Cake and the Carrot Cake.
I highly recommend the carrot cake- it was very moist and packed with flavor.
With all this delicious food our bellies filled up quick and we did take some food home. My daughter loved the to-go container, and of course we brought home our chopsticks.
Thank you, Noodles and Company, for creating a great Kids Meal Menu and delicious food for the whole family to enjoy.
We are excited to return and try more of your entrée selections.
