I spoke with Brittany Lawton from the Eastern Division of the American Cancer Society and she told me to have requests made via email to her:

brittany.lawton@cancer.org

Brittany will send you a form to fill out presented by the Relay for Life Division that will ask for your child(s) name and any other information you want to include.

The suggested donation amount is $5.00 but any amount you can donate helps. Please make any checks out to the American Cancer Society and mail to:

Attention: Brittany Lawton

75 Davids Drive, Hauppauge NY 11788

I asked Brittany:

How long have you been working with Santa?  How long has Santa been writing letters to children to help raise money for the American Cancer Society?

Brittany: ” I’ve been working with Santa the last 5 years as his helper, however this is Santa’s second year working with his local American Cancer Society writing letters to children, to help the American Cancer Society help people get well, stay well by finding cures and fighting back through research, education, service and advocacy. He knew the funds raise help provide lifesaving research, free wigs, rides to treatment, lodging and much more!”

Are there other ways people can help out or donate to the American Cancer Society this holiday season?

Brittany: “They can donate to the American Cancer Society by mailing in a check,  to their local office, 75 Davids Drive, Hauppauge NY 11788. They are also welcome to stop by and meet all of the happy little elves working with Santa on Long Island! We are also always looking for volunteers to help out with our programs, like fitting wigs, giving rides to patients to and from treatment, providing a meal to patients at Hope Lodge, helping with events.  There are a ton of opportunities to get involved, they can call our live call center (800)ACS-2345 to get started!”

I’m Anne

I love to write about all things Long Island and family. I was born and raised here and as a local, I want to share all the great things I have loved about living here since I was a child. Our community is filled with great people, amazing local businesses, beautiful nature sites, scenic beaches, craveable restaurants and so much more. My husband and I knew when we had our first child that I would become a stay-at-home mom. Thanks to my love for sharing all the things I love about Long Island, my blog was created in 2013.

We are dedicated to linking families and businesses together for the benefit of all.
I hope you enjoy all that Momee Friends offers whether it is a smile, craft, recipe, friendly advice, or an event for your family to attend together in a safe and creative environment.
