Elizabeth Hashagen and Anne Caminiti show you how to make some fun edible treats the kids can help you make this holiday season.
Whether you celebrate Hanukkah or Christmas we all love to indulge on some festive treats throughout the month of December. And, we love to include the kids in the kitchen for even more fun this holiday season.
I know Hot Cocoa is a staple in our pantry during the winter. Who doesn’t love hot cocoa to keep them warm during the winter months?
Candy Cane Hot Cocoa Stirrers
We saw these adorable peppermint candy cane stirrers on Pinterest —> click here
Make these for a fun and delicious peppermint twist to plain hot cocoa. The kids will love stirring their hot cocoa with these ( and adults will too!)
Crush your candy canes into pieces (we put them in a Ziploc and smashed with our meat tenderizer. )
Place a marshmallow on the end of your candy cane and dip it into the melted chocolate and then put it into the crushed candy cane pieces. Set aside on parchment paper and let cool in your refrigerator for 10 minutes. Use the candy cane stirrers in your hot cocoa and enjoy!

Marshmallow Hanukkah Treats
Keeping with the marshmallow desserts we decided to attach some Hershey kisses to the end of the marshmallows using melted chocolates.
I love the dreidel treats. They are so delicious.
To get the writing on the outside of the marshmallow use the Wilton White Icing Writer and then dip the writing gently into a shallow dish of sprinkles. I used blue crystals.
