It is Winter and they are so many great crafts you can be doing with your little ones. Here are some great ideas that we wanted to share. When I think of Winter Snow, Snowflakes , Penguins and Igloos all come to mind. These Winter inspired crafts in the post below have all of those and more.
Tune into News 12 Long Island for Winter Fun Ideas on Thursday, February 18th, 2016. Starting at 5am during the morning show with Elizabeth Hashagen.
1. Borax Snowflakes
A fun activity that takes about 24 hours to complete but the end result is beautiful! Borax is needed for this science activity.
We painted our Egg Cartons Black and cut off each individual egg container to make individual penguins. I then painted the stomachs with white paint and glued on orange felt for the beak and feet and googly eyes. A simple and adorable craft you will want to display.
4. Waffle Cone / Marshmallow Edible Igloo
One of my Momee Friends, Gin had shared her boys making these in December so I had to make them too. All you do is cover a waffle bowl in icing and then top it with marshmallows. Sugar overload but definitely very edible. YUMMY!
Have fun with your kids indoors during the winter with some fun activities!
