We are so excited to share with all of our readers a Fidget Spinner costume you can make on your own and it costs very little to make.

Oh and did I mention, the fidget spinners really do SPIN! Are you excited to see how to make it? Because, we are excited to show you how we made it.

 

All you need is:

A white cotton t-shirt

A white baseball cap

White poster board

Colored Sharpies

Paper Fasteners

1 Piece of card stock (any color)

Hot glue gun

 

 

Directions:

Step 1: Cut your white poster board into a Fidget Spinner Shape

 

Step 2: Add color to your Fidget Spinner with your sharpie markers.

Step 3: Cut a small piece of card stock that would fit in the center of the fidget spinner without being seen once you attach the piece of card stock to the center of the fidget spinner poster board.

 

Helpful Hint: *Make sure when you attach the card stock to the poster board and use the paper fastener that it is not fastened super tight so that there is movement for the fidget spinner to spin.*

 

Caution: * Remember: Have an adult do this step since the hot glue is VERY HOT!  *

Put some hot glue on the bottom of the small card stock piece and attach to the shirt and cap of the hat.

A Momee Tip : Do not have any hot glue on the white poster board or there will be no movement of the “fidget spinner”.

You don’t have to do this but, I added a couple more fidget spinners to the shirt that do not move with fabric markers. I just traced the fidget spinners I originally made and drew them on the shirt.

  

The Fidget Spinner costume I have created is so much fun and looks so cute. The fidget spinner moves but, it will not spin super fast since we are not using the real materials of a fidget spinner or a real fidget spinner on the costume. However, I think the look and the goal of movement was met with this costume and it will definitely make your child happy.

T-Shirt scrap

White poster board

Colored Sharpies

Paper Fastener

Velcro

Hot Glue Gun

Directions:

Cut the end sleeve of a youth size tee-shirt off. I would say about 1 1/2″ wide.

Then, cut one end that when you open the piece you just cut there is only one long piece.

Then, cut that in half.

Attach your two different sides of the velcro to the t-shirt piece. One velcro piece to one end then flip the opposite end over and hot glue the other velcro piece to that end.

Now, attach another poster board fidget spinner shape to the good side of the extra sleeve piece we just made. Place it in the center of the shirt material.

Again, make sure when you attach the card stock to the poster board and use the paper fastener that it is not fastened super tight so that there is movement for the fidget spinner to spin.
