Back on Stage After Sold-Out Performances! Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical!
Returns to the Long Island Children’s Museum Theater Beginning November 28-29
Curtain up! The Long Island Children’s Museum Theater welcomes audiences back this month with the return of a family favorite — Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! Based on Mo Willems’ beloved picture books, this laugh-out-loud adaptation takes flight with catchy songs, bright feathers, and hilarious fun for audiences of all ages. Performances will begin Friday, November 28 and Saturday, November 29 with final shows of the year taking place December 30.
Back by popular demand after sold-out runs, the production invites children and their grown-ups to experience live theater designed especially for young audiences.
“We create an environment where children are free to laugh, move, and engage throughout the performance,” says Lisa Rudin, LICM Theater Artistic Director. “Kids can fall in love with the magic of live performance without the pressure of ‘quiet theater.’ These stories encourage curiosity, creativity, and connection — all core to our mission.”
With a script by Willems and music by Deborah Wicks La Puma, the show follows the Pigeon as he dreams of steering the bus when the Bus Driver faces a crisis. Could this be his big moment? Audiences will delight in the mischievous fun and clever songs that make this show an instant favorite.
Performances run throughout the holiday season—a perfect activity for families with visiting relatives—and returns in the spring for anyone who misses their opportunity. Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! Is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
