Valentine’s Day Windsocks

We love making windsocks for the holidays they are fun to create and look so nice hanging in your home. With a few craft items you will be able to create these with your kids this Valentine’s Day.

All you need is:

Construction Paper

Crepe Paper- red, white, purple and/or pink

Crayons

Dot Markers

Stickers

Scissors

Scotch Tape

Stapler

Directions:

Decorate your construction paper any way you like for Valentine’s Day.

Using the Dot Markers to decorate your paper is so much fun and I find it to be a relaxing. Your child can decorate the paper any way they like using stickers and crayons, too.

Once the paper is decorated, you can the create a cylinder shape and staple it to keep its shape.

Then, cut 6 pieces of crepe paper and make them the same length. They do not have to be the same color, you can use all the colors or two colors. I love that there is no right or wrong way to make this and your child can make a few of these and they will all look great but, look different.

You will attach the pieces by scotch taping each starnd of crepe paper to the inside of the cylinder.

Now you will need to make a handle for the windsock. You will cut a piece of construction paper and decorate it any way you like and staple it to the top of the windsock.

Your windsock is complete and is ready to be displayed for Valentine’s Day!

Happy Crafting!
