A great family keepsake that I just adore…
and you make the clay with just 3 ingredients!
I was inspired to try this when I saw the recipe on E How.com Mom
All you need is:
1/2 cup salt
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup water
First: Heat your oven up to 200 Degrees F
Then mix the ingredients: salt, flour and water to form a ball of dough
Roll the ball of dough out
Then have each family member put in their handprint
I included my husband , my daughter and my hand in the center and my kitty on the left : )
Bake the handprint creation in the oven at 200 degrees F for 3 hours
Once cooled paint it any colors you want…
Enjoy your family keepsake : )
These are great gifts and you can make all types of handprint projects with clay with this recipe
I love it . I think when I do it I’ll put hole on each side and hang it on the wall with fancy rope or ribbon. Thanks for a great idea.
I had my husband put the holes on top but did not hang it up yet : ) that is a great idea Barbara and a great piece to hang on the wall : )
Can you let it air dry?
yes… that’s what I did. Have fun making yours
thank you… I found a smallish bowl with wavy edges i’m going to use to put edge on my rolled dough.. going to make 2 .. one for her handprint, one for a picture frame. put 1 hole in top of frame piece, 2 holes on bottem. & 2 holes in top of pandprint piece so i can tie em’ together.
sounds so cute! : )
