The Big Apple Circus- Embraces Autism

The Big Apple Circus has been entertaining families for years. This year especially they are reaching out to entertain ALL families by providing Autism Friendly Shows. On June 2nd, 2015 there will be two sensory-friendly performances here in New York where the Big Apple Circus raised its first tent show back in 1977.

If you have a loved one who has sensory issues then this Autism Friendly performance is one your family should definitely attend. The Big Apple Circus has taken the time to make sure the performance is a joyful experience for all with the help of the ASD experts.

The show is still amazing at a shortened version of 75 minutes long!

The pictures below were given to me by the program director, Lisa Lewis of The Big Apple Circus.  Who is doing a great job at making sure ALL families enjoy this wonderful show.

There is a calming center available to anyone who needs a break and just needs to step away from the excitement for a little while.

Also, there are volunteers in every section available to help you with whatever you may need.

During this performance the sound has been adjusted to a lower volume and there is no dramatic lighting or strobes going on throughout the performance.
