Show Stompin’ Irish Dance is a fully Non-Competitive Irish Dance school located in Wantagh, Ny.
At Show Stompin’ Irish Dance they teach ages 2 to Adult with a newly added Mommy & Me program. Recently, one of our local Momee Friends wrote us and told us about how much she loves her local dance school for her daughter.
She wrote, “My daughter’s teacher has been so patient and kind with her (my daughter has high functioning autism/adhd). The dance school is non-competitive so it’s very stress free! I just had to spread the word.”
They are a performance based Irish dance school and perform at all types of venues from nurses homes to local restaurants and street fairs.
Meagan Gollin says, “The goal for my dance program is for dancers of all ages to build up confidence and self esteem and having fun while doing so. Irish dance improves posture, stamina and it’s a great form of exercise. I’ve seen wonderful friendships form not only from the students but from the parents as well. I have been teaching Irish dance for 10 years and there is nothing I’d rather do. There is something wonderful about teaching children to be comfortable being themselves, and you really see that when the dancers perform, they all bring their own personalities to the dance floor and I think its wonderful for the children and the audience as well. The nursing homes are always extremely grateful, this year I had a woman come up to me after a nursing home performance telling me one of her patients that has not spoken in years, kept cheering on girls saying “Yea! ” And that was so wonderful to see what the joy of dance can truly bring and mean to someone. I can’t wait for what the future has in store for Show Stompin’ Irish Dance, and all of its dancers!”
