We might not be Irish but we conquered being it for one day! šŸ’ššŸ’š

As the saying goes, ā€œeveryone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Dayā€ and we enjoyed the festivities that came with it.

SILLY MCGILLY helped us get into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit with causing antics around the house 2 weeks prior to St. Patrick’s Day. He turned the toilet water green, left notes and messages around the house and quite a few tricks and messes. But, we love him and enjoy this new tradition of Leprechaun fun in our home. THE GIRLS LOVE Silly McGilly.

We built our Leprechaun Trap for school! This was so much fun. I love a craft as many of you know and so does my daughters. Finding green items and adding edible fun like Marshmallows and Skittles to the trap was A LOT of fun!

Ā

The girls went into school wearing shades of green and fun accessories like rainbow socks and clover headbands and bracelets. A girl never needs a reason to accessorize but, a theme is always fun.

St. Patrick’s Day morning was full of excitement with balloons, streamers and signs all down the hallway from Silly McGilly wishing s a very HAPPY St. Patrick’s Day!

We prepared our dinner. Corn beef and cabbage along with potatoes and carrots went into the Crock Pot.

Sheperd’s Pie was on the menu and it was our first time making it. I have to say this Pinterest Pin I found for a THE BEST Sheperd’s Pie was a great find. It was really good.

Ā

Our new favorite thing is to be in the kitchen as a family and prepare our meals together. We find that the ā€œpicky eatersā€ that our kids can be are more likely to try something new if they helped make it. Well, the did not eat the Sheperd’s Pie but, they LOVED the corned beef.

After dinner we had a fun family game night and this game could not be more fitting tonight after our meal.

Was it the cabbage? lol

From Goliath Games we played Who Tooted?

ā€œEwww, Who Tooted!?! In this rip-roaring game of gassy good times, everybody gets a whoopee cushion shaped controller to control the flatulence. When the controllers light up, only one person can push the button to make a ā€œtootā€ sound–the other players have to guess who did it! Can you keep a straight face, or will your friends know that YOU are the one who tooted in this fun-filled fart game!?! With 10 different giggle-inducing sound effects. Requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). For 3 or 4 players, ages 6 & up.ā€
